U.S. 95 ramp at Lake Mead Boulevard to be closed

Ramp closure

The ramp from northbound U.S. 95 to eastbound Lake Mead Boulevard will be closed for the next two weeks, transportation officials said.

The ramp, exit 82A, on the freeway in northwest Las Vegas, is scheduled to close early Monday morning and reopen Feb. 20, Nevada Department of Transportation officials said.

The closure is part of the U.S. 95 Northwest Widening Project to improve the freeway between Washington Avenue and Ann Road.

The $68 million project began in August and is scheduled to end next summer.

Crews are widening the freeway by adding a high-occupancy vehicle lane. It also calls for landscaping improvements and new sound walls.

In addition to the ramp closure, the northbound lanes of Rancho Drive are closed from Rainbow Boulevard to Ann Road until Feb. 23.
