A Las Vegas woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Monday after her vehicle collided with a Nevada Highway Patrol vehicle stopped on Las Vegas Boulevard's shoulder during a traffic stop in the south valley.
NHP Trooper Joseph Fackrell said a Ford Explorer was southbound at 12:45 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard when it drifted onto the shoulder and struck the highway patrol vehicle near the intersection with Blue Diamond Road.
The highway patrol cruiser then struck a Toyota Matrix, which the trooper had stopped for a traffic violation. Both the trooper and the Toyota's driver were outside of their vehicles and escaped injury.
The driver of the Explorer, 24-year-old Jordan Taylor Crafton, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on $5,400 bail.
