Construction to divert traffic on northern Las Vegas Beltway

Beltway construction

Eastbound traffic on the Las Vegas Beltway in the northern valley will be diverted at North 5th Street for six months, Clark County officials said.

The county is completing the freeway interchange at North 5th Street, between Aliante Parkway and Losee Road in North Las Vegas.

Beginning Wednesday evening, traffic will be directed to take the off ramp to North 5th Street, where it will be able to continue back onto the beltway while the main part of the freeway is closed.

Motorists will continue to be able to access North 5th Street south of the beltway.

The closure is part of an $11.8 million project as the county works to finish converting the beltway into a full freeway. This project is scheduled to conclude in the fall. Meadow Valley Contractors is the contractor for the project.
