Police searching for suspect in downtown robbery

Metro Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a downtown business Friday.

At 6:49 p.m, a man entered a business in the area of Fremont Street and St. Louis Avenue and walked to the counter, police said. He produced a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. After the clerk complied, the man fled the business.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 30s, medium build, 6 feet tall and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, a red hoodie with a black shirt over a white shirt and blue jeans.
