Five juveniles were arrested in Pahrump last week in connection with child pornography charges after a boy was allegedly caught showing nude photos on his cell phone while on a school bus.
The Nye County Sheriff’s Office said a male juvenile was showing photos of a nude girl to other students on the way home from school Feb. 1.
The incident was reported to the sheriff’s office and to Rosemary Clark Middle School officials the following day.
Officials retrieved photos from the phone of three different girls, ages 12 and 13, authorities said.
Investigators determined the photos were self-portraits and the girls had distributed the photos via text messaging.
The five juveniles, whose names haven't been released by the sheriff’s office because of their ages, were arrested on suspicion of distribution of child pornography and promotion of sexual performance of a minor.
