Metro Police released surveillance video images today of a January robbery suspect who wore a clown mask.

Police said two armed men, one of whom was wearing the mask, entered a business near Russell Road and Mountain Vista Street in the early morning hours of Jan. 5.

The men brandished handguns and demanded money from an employee, who gave them money after being pistol-whipped, police said.

They then stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled northbound on foot, authorities said.

Police described the man donning the clown mask as about 6-feet tall and 180 pounds, wearing a red UNLV sweatshirt and blue jeans. The second man was between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall, 160 to 180 pounds, wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans and carrying a red backpack.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Metro's robbery section at (702) 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
