Metro’s Search and Rescue unit is rescuing an injured hiker in the Echo Canyon area at Mount Charleston.
Metro received a call at 1:13 p.m. about a 50-year-old hiker who broke his ankle while hiking on the mountain, police said.
A Search and Rescue helicopter is trying to extricate the hiker and fly him to a local hospital.
