Man wanted in Pahrump burglary turns himself in

A man wanted by Nye County officials in connection with a Feb. 6 Pahrump burglary turned himself in to authorities Monday morning.

Robert Joseph Medved, 25, of Pahrump, was booked into the Nye County Sheriff's Office and is being held on $95,000 bail. He had been wanted on charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, 14 counts of grand larceny firearm, possession of stolen property and accessory to burglary.

Nye County officials still are looking for 35-year-old Robert Donald Jenkins.

Officials arrested nine people Feb. 6 after they allegedly stole 14 firearms from a Pahrump home and led deputies on a high-speed chase while many were high on drugs, authorities said. Two more suspects — Amanda Huddleston, 22, and Daniel Cox, 35 — were arrested early last week.

Officials from the sheriff's office staked out the Pahrump home and watched the burglary after learning it was planned to occur Feb. 6. Afterward, some of the suspects led deputies on a pursuit until they disabled the vehicle, at which time the suspects ran, officials said.

Detectives arrested two people — Dale Fasking, 33, and Lacie Dryer, 21 — at one of their homes a short time later. Chasity Hall, 34, who deputies say knew about the burglary and helped to cover it up, was also arrested, officials said.

Fasking's brother, 25-year-old Steven Fasking, was arrested on a moped while allegedly high on methamphetamines as he was leaving the area near the burglarized home. Officials said Steven Fasking allegedly was en route to help his brother commit the burglary.

Later, authorities found the vehicle that had fled the scene of the burglary and discovered 14 stolen firearms inside, officials said. The driver, Ariana Hosino, 28, and her passenger, Jenny Bahler, 36, were arrested.

Those arrests led deputies to Hosino's residence, where they allegedly found a stolen vehicle in the possession of David Patillo, 55, and Rosche Helm, 23, both of whom were arrested.

While executing a search warrant on the vehicle, deputies found narcotics inside, officials said.

Meanwhile, deputies arrested Justin Nelson, 30, on a warrant charging him with burglary when they stopped his vehicle while searching for other suspects.

Officials said many of the suspects arrested were under the influence of methamphetamines and marijuana during the alleged crimes.

Deputies said they expect the suspects will face additional charges in connection with other stolen property found at the Fasking residence.

Officials are asking anyone with information to contact the Nye County Sheriff's Office at (775) 751-7000 or [email protected].
