A Las Vegas man was hospitalized in critical condition Monday evening after he was ejected from his motorcycle during a collision with a vehicle in the northwest valley, Metro Police said.
Investigators said Gregory Leithoff, 55, was on his Yamaha Vmax motorcycle at 5:21 p.m. traveling north on Drexel Road south of Ann Road near an entrance of a shopping center.
Karen Stanley, 49, of Las Vegas, was driving a Ford Edge SUV south on Drexel and turned left into the shopping center when Leithoff's motorcycle struck the right side of the SUV. Leithoff was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest in the roadway.
Leithoff was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, police said. The accident is under investigation.
