Metro Police released surveillance video images today of a man who they say lunged over the counter at a sandwich shop and demanded money at knifepoint.

Police said a man entered the shop at 9 p.m. Jan. 18 near Tropicana and Eastern avenues, then ordered a sandwich. After placing his order, police said he pulled a knife and lunged over the counter, threatening employees.

Officials said the man ran from the area after getting money from the cash register.

Authorities described him as about 6-feet tall and 225 pounds with a pronounced mustache. He was wearing a white baseball cap and gray, hooded jacket.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Metro's robbery section at (702) 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
