Van strikes 3 young children; no serious injuries reported

Metro Police were investigating a traffic accident Monday in which a van hit three children under the age of 5 near Nellis Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive.

Police responded about 4:30 p.m. to the scene. The children were all taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the three children were walking with their mother in a McDonald’s parking lot when they were hit by a van that was exiting the parking lot. Police said the woman driving the van did not see them.
