Metro Police seized $100,000 worth of marijuana and arrested two people after raiding a Las Vegas business and two residences on Thursday.

A search warrant was executed at about 4 p.m. at Premium Remedies, 8930 S. Maryland Parkway, which police described as a storefront used to sell drugs. A store manager, Daniel Afari, 33, and an employee, Christina Rand, 26, of Las Vegas were arrested in connection with several drug-related charges, including felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, police said.

Simultaneously, police executed warrants at a grow house in the 700 block of Donelle Avenue, in the Silverado Ranch area of the south valley, and at a condo in the 700 block of Carnegie Street, in the MacDonald Ranch area of Henderson, officials said.

In total, police said they seized 40 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $100,000.

Afari lived at the grow house, and all three locations are connected, police said.

Police said they are actively seeking a third suspect in the case but declined to provide specific details about the person's identity.

Authorities said they also recovered cocaine and psilocybin mushrooms at both the condo and the grow house. Investigators seized large amounts of U.S. currency, which police said was indicative of drug transactions.

Premium Remedies was not a legitimate medical marijuana business, police said. Clark County business license records show that Premium Remedys Inc. received a county license in October 2010 to operate a consultant service at the Maryland Parkway address.

Additional charges against Afari and Rand are likely as the investigation continues, police said.

Friday morning, police said Afari had been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on four counts of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, four counts of sale of marijuana and two counts of possession of cocaine; he is also facing counts of conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and maintaining a place to sell a controlled substance.

Rand was booked for possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
