A Henderson woman was displaced from her Green Valley home Friday after a fire caused about $30,000 in damage, fire officials said.
Henderson firefighters responded at 1:45 p.m. to the fire on Alyson Pond Road near Arroyo Grande Boulevard and Paseo Verde Parkway. The woman had returned to her home, found it filled with smoke and called 911.
Firefighters arrived and found a small fire in a back bedroom. The fire was brought under control within five minutes, officials said. The woman is staying with family until repairs are made.
Officials said damage to the bedroom was extensive and there was smoke damage throughout the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
