Metro Police released surveillance video images today of a suspected bank robber wanted in connection with three robberies.

The most recent robbery occurred at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at a bank near Rainbow Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue, police said.

Police said the man, who was wearing a dark “Lakers” cap, approached the teller and presented a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun. After receiving the money, the man fled, police said.

Officials said the man’s first robbery occurred at a bank in the same area at 4:35 p.m. Jan. 28. The second robbery took place at 4:50 p.m. Feb. 2 at a bank near Flamingo Road and Grand Canyon Drive, police said.

In the second robbery, police said the man entered the bank and presented the teller with a note, which read in part: “I have a gun.” The suspect received money, then fled the bank in a tan or gold, four-door vehicle driven by a second person whose description is unknown, police said.

Police weren’t identifying the banks involved.

Authorities described the man as white, between the ages of 50 and 60, and 5-feet 5 to 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Metro’s robbery section at (702) 828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
