RTC contest to award 40 laptops to valley high school seniors

Clark County high school seniors can win one of 40 laptop computers from the Regional Transportation as part of an essay contest sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Students are asked to submit a minimum 500-word essay on how they can reduce their carbon footprint by using services offered by the RTC.

The essays should be double-spaced and include the student’s name, teacher, school and age. Entries should be sent to Judy Meyers of the Clark County School District School-Community Partnership Program, 4212 Eucalyptus Ave., Annex, Building 8, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

The best 40 authors will receive a laptop at the April 14 RTC board meeting.

“The RTC is thrilled to partner once again with Coca-Cola on this exciting contest,” said RTC General Manager Jacob Snow in a statement. “And we look forward to hearing from students about their use of our transit system, our bicycling amenities and our other environmentally friendly services.”
