LUCKY SEVENS: Members of the U.S. rugby team wave to the crowd at the USA Sevens Rugby World Series at Sam Boyd Stadium after defeating Japan 19-12 on Feb. 13 to win the Shield final for the tournament. It was the event’s second year, and organizers were out to better 2010’s attendance of 30,000, which included 12,300 people from out of town who spent an estimated $9 million in Las Vegas.
