Frank Sinatra Drive ramp from I-15 to close for 6 weeks

Ramp closed

The ramp to Frank Sinatra Drive from northbound Interstate 15 will close Wednesday for six weeks, transportation officials said.

The ramp, which is part of the Russell Road exit of the freeway, will be closed while crews work as part of the Interstate 15 South Design-Build Project to widen the freeway. The project will also widen the Russell Road bridge across the freeway.

During the closure, motorists will be able to access Frank Sinatra Drive by exiting onto eastbound Russell Road then turning right onto the loop that leads back to Frank Sinatra Drive.

The $246.5 million project to widen the freeway from Blue Diamond Road to Tropicana Avenue began in February 2010 and is scheduled to end in March 2012.
