Springs Preserve offers class on growing fruit in the desert

Springs Preserve is offering a new class for those interested in growing their own fruits in the valley's climate.

The program will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $3 for members, $5 for non-members and no reservations are required. The workshop will cover which fruits can be effectively grown in desert climates and offer practical, do-it-yourself advice on developing plants for harvesting this year.
