Top-tier tennis instruction is coming to O'Callaghan Park in Henderson at the end of this month. The city's parks and recreation department plans to launch a United States Tennis Association Junior Team Tennis program on Jan. 22.
The program, which costs $65 per player and runs through Feb. 26, is designed to help young players, ages 7-10, learn the game, improve their skills and gain an appreciation for teamwork, the department said in a news release.
"The emphasis in this program is not winning or losing, but how you play the game," Ted Lockamon, Recreation Services supervisor, said in a statement.
Participants will have an opportunity to experience singles, doubles and mixed-doubles play.
Online registration is required. For more information, call 702-267-5700.
