BYU’s Young Ambassadors to perform at Henderson Pavilion

Tickets for the legendary Young Ambassadors from Brigham Young University, who will take the stage at the Henderson Pavilion next month, are available now from the city's parks and recreation department.

Admission to the Feb. 25 show is $5. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Henderson is one stop on a seven-city tour through Nevada and California for the Young Ambassadors, the university's song and dance group, which premiered at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan, in 1970.

The performance will feature a compilation of great American show tunes -- from plays like “Dream Girls,” “Wicked” and “The Prince of Egypt” -- and songs by such artists as Billy Joel and Benny Goodman. A live band will accompany the singers throughout the show.

The Young Ambassadors have performed in more than 60 countries, the department said in a news release, and their alumni include a former Miss America and several Broadway personalities.
