Metro Police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a violent sexual assault earlier this week on the Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas resident David Randell Ferren was interviewed by Metro detectives and arrested late Saturday evening, police said.

The alleged assault happened early Tuesday morning near Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. Afterward, police released surveillance images of the man who was considered a person of interest in the case.

He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of battery with intent to commit sexual assault, sexually-motivated coercion-force, burglary and four counts of sexual assault of a victim over 65 years old, police said.

Authorities said Ferren did not have a local arrest record. He is being held without bail, according to jail records.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro’s sexual assault detail at (702) 828-3421 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
