A man shot to death Sunday in the southwest valley has been identified as 34-year-old Eric Gore, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Gore, a Las Vegas resident, died at University Medical Center from a gunshot wound to the chest, the coroner said. His death was ruled a homicide.
Michael Jeffries, 30, has been arrested in connection with murder with a deadly weapon, police said. He’s being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bail.
Metro Police responded about 12:45 a.m. Sunday to the 8700 block of Don Horton Avenue to investigate a report of a man shot at a residence.
When officers entered the home, they allegedly found Jeffries on the phone standing over Gore’s body, police said.
