Henderson residents interested in learning more about a proposed multi-billion stadium project will have a chance to ask questions at a neighborhood meeting this evening.
The meeting will be at 5 p.m. at the M Resort's Hostile Grape Wine Cellar, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
The developer is applying for a zone change, a master streets and highways amendment and a comprehensive plan amendment as part of the project, which would be located on 485 acres of federal land just east of I-15 and south of the M Resort.
Those items will go before the city council at its Oct. 18 meeting.
Earlier this month, a group led by developer Christopher Milam unveiled plans for the four-stadium complex. The first phase would include a 17,500-seat enclosed arena and a 25,000-seat open-air stadium built at a cost of $1.3 billion.
If funding can be secured for the privately financed project, it could be open as soon as 2014.
