Apartment fire

A fire late Sunday afternoon in a central valley apartment complex left two people injured and caused an estimated $10,000 in damages.

Clark County firefighters responded at 4:24 p.m. to the Sierra Vista Apartments, 552 Sierra Vista Drive, said Clark County spokesman Dan Kulin. The first arriving fire unit discovered the fire confined to an unoccupied, first floor apartment on the north side of the complex. Firefighters had the fire under control in about three minutes.

Two men were assessed for injuries but were not transported to the hospital, Kulin added.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, Medic West Ambulance, Metro Police and Nevada Energy also responded.
