Ruth’s Chris, which serves USDA prime steaks, plans to open a restaurant at Harrah’s on the Las Vegas Strip.

Ruth's Chris Steak House will return to Las Vegas early next year at Harrah's.

Seating nearly 400, the new restaurant will feature views of the Strip through a wall of windows from the upper level. It replaces the Range Steakhouse, which closed last month.

This will be the third Ruth’s Chris to open at a Harrah’s resort. Two others are located at the Harrah's New Orleans and Harrah's Cherokee in North Carolina. Ruth's Chris opened its first restaurant in 1965 in New Orleans and now has more than 150 restaurants worldwide.

A Ruth’s Chris served steaks for 22 years off the Strip on Paradise Road before closing in 2011.
