North Las Vegas Police detectives are looking for a North Las Vegas man suspected of stealing two cars and an attempted kidnapping July 8.
Police officials said the suspect stole the first car at an AM/PM located at the intersection of Cheyenne Avenue and Civic Center Drive. Officials said Javonn Caver, an 18 year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes, pointed a gun at a 37-year-old woman pumping gas and demanded she get in the car.
The victim ran away instead, and the suspect drove off in the car onto Interstate 15, where he crashed into two other cars, officials said. The suspect then stopped a Toyota sedan, ordered the driver out, stole the car and fled the scene, officials said.
Javonn Caver is decribed as 5-foot-3 and 105 pounds. Officials said he frequents the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Civic Center Drive.
