Police arrested Jeffrey Wilson, 28, who is accused of shooting and killing his mother and shooting his father Wednesday morning near Vegas Valley Drive and Mountain Vista Street, Metro Police reported.
Police had responded to a call from neighbors at 4:43 a.m. regarding the shooting, which occurred on the 3000 block of Greendale Street, Officer Laura Meltzer said. Officials said Wilson was identified as the suspect and charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon and one count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
The father was transported to Sunrise Hospital’s trauma center, where officials said he is in stable, but critical condition. The mother was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
