A fire broke out in a water heater room late Sunday morning at a Motel 6 on Tropicana Avenue, several blocks from the Las Vegas Strip, officials said.
No injuries were been reported, said Dan Kulin, a spokesman for the Clark County Fire Department.
About 30 firefighters responded at 11:47 a.m. to the blaze at 195 E. Tropicana Ave., which is near Koval Lane.
Fire crews located the small blaze in the broiler room and a storage room underneath it, Kulin said. Firefighters extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby guest rooms, he said.
Fire investigators have not determined a cause or released a damage estimate.
