Metro Police received reports of an escaped chimp in Las Vegas at 3:40 p.m. Monday near Alexander Road and Decatur Boulevard.
Animal control officers joined police in a brief search, but Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said no evidence of the primate was found. The search was suspended just after 4 p.m.
