Suspected murder victim Keith Goldberg’s body was found Saturday by a Las Vegas Red Rock Search and Rescue team concluding a yearlong search for the missing man’s body.

The search team’s Facebook page posted the finding about 3 p.m. The post did not include further details but said the Goldberg family “has peace and are extremely happy to have their son and brother back home where he belongs.”

Goldberg, 54, went missing Jan. 31, 2012, after an argument and a physical altercation with Georgene “Cookie” Ross and her husband, Christopher Ross, inside his Green Valley apartment. Police said Goldberg had been in a relationship with Cookie Ross.

Police recovered his car Feb. 10, 2012, and tracked his cellphone movements to the desert in the Lake Mead Recreation Area. Since then, family members and search-and-rescue volunteers have been looking for his body.

Cookie Ross and Christopher Ross have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
