A flash flood warning was issued Friday afternoon for northern Clark County, near Hayford Peak, because of a heavy thunderstorm in the area.
The National Weather Service issued the warning after observing a storm system on radar that could dump one or two inches of rain at Hayford Peak. The rain could cause flooding in the valley around Alamo Road, officials said.
The warning is expected to remain in effect until 4:45 p.m.
