Candidates for local office answer questions in advance of Tuesday’s primary elections

In advance of Tuesday’s primaries, the Las Vegas Sun sent questionnaires to each of the candidates running for mayor or city council in the Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson municipal elections.

Questions touched on how the candidates would address budget shortfalls in their city, what projects or issues they’d address if elected and where they’ve differed from previous decisions made by the city council.

Early voting for the primaries ends Friday. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, which is Primary Election Day.
