A Clark County kindergarten teacher was arrested Friday, school district officials said.
Capt. Ken Young with the Clark County School District Police Department identified the teacher as Melvyn Sprowson but said no other details about the arrest would be available until Monday.
School district officials referred all inquiries about the incident to Young.
Jail records show Sprowson faces charges of first-degree kidnapping, child abuse or neglect, contributing to delinquency/negligence of a minor, and making false statements to a public officer.
