Suspended Clark County District Judge Steven Jones, accused of improper conduct for presiding over cases in which his girlfriend-attorney was involved, will face a hearing with the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline on set Dec. 2.
The commission Tuesday set aside five days for the hearing at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. If the hearing is not completed in that time, it will be continued until Dec. 16.
The Nevada Supreme Court in August rejected a petition from Jones to dismiss the allegations.
Jones has denied the complaint that he had a “close social and personal relationship” with then-Deputy District Attorney Lisa Willardson, and he refused to step down in cases in which Willardson was involved.
He was suspended with pay after a federal grand jury indicted him on a charge of being involved in a scheme to defraud investors out of $3 million.
