CARSON CITY — The Nevada Supreme Court today denied the latest appeal of Las Vegas killer George M. Brass, sentenced to two consecutive 20-year-to-life terms in prison.
Brass claimed his trial attorney was ineffective in 10 instances and that he was entitled to a new trial.
The court said his claims were “without merit” and upheld the decision of District Court Judge Stefany Miley, who rejected his petition.
Brass was convicted of first-degree murder and robbery in the fatal shooting of Saul Nunez in September 2006.
The court rejected his first appeal in 2010.
