las vegas 51s:

51s blanked by Reno, 3-0

The Las Vegas 51s were limited to five hits today against the Reno Aces in a 3-0 loss at Cashman Field to open a four-game series.

Andrew Brown doubled for the lone Las Vegas extra base hit, but the 51s couldn’t score in being shut out for the first time this season.

Dana Eveland (2-1) was the tough-luck loser for Las Vegas, surrendering just one run in 5 2/3 innings and striking out eight. The series continues at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
