Metro Police identified this man and woman as suspects in the robbery of a motorist near Harmon Avenue and Spencer Street on Aug. 5, 2014.

Metro Police are searching for a man and woman they say hitched a ride with a motorist who was attacked and had his vehicle stolen earlier this month.

The suspects approached the victim outside a convenience store near Boulder Highway and Sahara Avenue on Aug. 5, police said. They asked the man for a ride, and he agreed.

When they stopped about 12:15 a.m. near Harmon Avenue and Spencer Street, the male suspect hit the driver in the head, police said. The suspects then stole the man’s cellphone and vehicle, which was later recovered in Arizona, police said.

The male suspect is about 35 years old, has black hair and was last seen wearing a short-sleeve shirt and shorts, police said.

The female suspect is about 25 years old and possibly pregnant, police said. She was last seen wearing a black and white striped dress.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro’s robbery section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
