The death of a four-month-old baby girl is being investigated by the Clark County Department of Family Services.
Aralee Balance was hospitalized on Dec. 15 at Sunrise Hospital, and died on Dec. 28.
According to a family services document, emergency medical personnel responded to a local residence after receiving a call concerning an unresponsive child.
Aralee was transported to Sunrise in critical condition where she remained for two weeks before passing away.
The Department of Family Services has one prior report for the child and family, on Aug. 1 of this year alleging abuse. An investigation revealed that the allegation was found unsubstantiated and the case was closed.
The Clark County Coroner's office will release the cause and manner of death.
