CARSON CITY – A $2.7 million contract has been awarded to a Las Vegas architectural firm for design of the academic building of the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at UNLV.
Gus Nunez, administrator of the state Public Works Division, said Carpenter Sellers Architects of Las Vegas has been selected and the design work should take 10-14 months.
The state Board of Examiners approved the contract Tuesday.
Nunez told the board the building site has been moved to near the Lied Library. He said construction on the $50 million project should take 15-18 months and be ready to open in 2017.
