Woman critically injured in rollover crash in Mesquite

Injury Crash

A woman was in critical condition Tuesday after the vehicle she was driving rolled over in Mesquite, authorities said.

Mesquite Police responded about 7 p.m. to the accident outside the Holiday Inn Express Hotel at West Pioneer Boulevard.

The Mesquite Fire Department needed the Jaws of Life tool to remove the woman from the vehicle, Fire Department Capt. John Gatley said.

The woman was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital and then airlifted to University Medical Center, Gatley said.

Mesquite Police requested the assistance of the Nevada Highway Patrol to investigate the incident, which is standard when life-threatening injuries occur.
