The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated 3-2 today at the Utah Grizzlies, surrendering a power play goal early in the third period to split a two-game road series.
Las Vegas received goals from John Armstrong in the first period and Adam Hughesman at the 7:46 mark of the second period to take a 2-1 advantage.
However, Utah tied the game at two with a power play goal 61 seconds later from Mathieu Aubin, his second goal of the game. Teigan Zahn scored the game-winner for Utah in the third.
Las Vegas pulled goalie Mitch O’Keefe late in the game for the one-man advantage but couldn’t score the equalizer.
Las Vegas returns to action Saturday at Bakersfield.
