Man dead after argument, gunshots; police seek suspects

Metro Police are seeking information in the shooting death of a man Wednesday night at an apartment complex in the northwest valley.

Patrol officers were dispatched about 9:40 p.m. to the complex in the 3300 block of North Michael Way to investigate reports of gunshots and a person on the ground, police said.

Officers found a man with apparent gunshot wounds on the sidewalk near the entrance of the complex, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation found the victim and two other people were confronted by two men who pulled up in a dark-colored, four-door sedan, police said. There was a brief argument, and multiple gunshots were fired, police said.

The two men with the victim fled and the two men described by police as suspects left in the car, authorities said.

The suspects have not been identified, police said. Anyone with information should call Metro’s homicide section at 702-828-3521 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at crimestoppersofnv.com.

This is the 66th homicide investigated by Metro this year.
