He’s the best high school football tight end in the nation.
Bishop Gorman High senior Alize Jones today was named to the MaxPreps 2014 Preseason All-American Football team. He was the lone tight end on the 34-player team.
He is also one of three players displayed in a composite photo promoting the team.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Jones, who is verbally committed to UCLA, caught 35 passes for 571 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2013.
Gorman is ranked No. 13 nationally in the MaxPreps Preseason Top 25. It hosts Brophy Prep of Phoenix on Aug. 22 in the Sollenberger Classic.
