Two motorcyclists were injured in separate crashes this morning on Interstate 15 North near Charleston Boulevard.
The first crash occurred about 5:45 a.m. when a motorcyclist slammed into the center median on the interstate. Minutes later, another motorcyclist collided with a pickup truck in the same area, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said.
The first motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries. The second motorcyclist was transported to UMC with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, Hixson said.
The far right lane was closed on I-15, and traffic was backed up, Hixson said. All lanes reopened about 8:40 a.m.
