A man was found dead in an apartment fire early this morning in the Spring Valley area.
The Clark County Fire Department responded about 3:05 a.m. to the fire at 5355 Edmond St., near Hacienda Avenue.
A caller said a neighbor’s apartment was on fire and his neighbor was not answering the door, Deputy Chief Jon Klassen said.
Firefighters entered the apartment and found the man dead inside, he said. Adjoining apartments were evacuated while the fire was extinguished, Klassen said. No one else was injured.
The fire caused about $30,000 damage to the apartment. The Clark County Fire Department is investigating the cause of the blaze.
