Metro seeks clues in fatal stabbing of man found near UNLV

Metro Police are searching for leads in the death of a man found stabbed Thursday night on a sidewalk near UNLV.

A driver spotted the man in the 700 block of East Flamingo Road and called authorities. The victim, who had apparent stab wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Homicide detectives are investigating, but they have not identified a suspect or determined a motive, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim pending notification of his relatives. His death is the 41st homicide in Las Vegas this year.
