JetBlue Airways has announced new flights between Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas that will start in the fall.

Airline officials say the nonstop service begins Oct. 29.

Flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will leave at 7:30 p.m. and arrive at McCarran International Airport at 10 p.m. The return flight leaves Las Vegas at 11 p.m. and arrives in Florida at 6:30 a.m. the next day.

The airline is offering special sales prices for the tickets through May 26. Tickets are $129 each way for travel through December 16.

JetBlue says the new flights are part of an ongoing effort to ramp up its presence in South Florida.
