RENO — Reno police are investigating a shooting at a motel just north of downtown near U.S. Interstate 80.
Police say one woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a Reno hospital, where she was reported Thursday to be in stable condition.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at America's Best Travel Inn on North Wells Avenue near Sixth Street.
Police say they've been in contact with a man of interest in the shooting and he is cooperating with investigators.
