One of three people killed in a Monday morning crash between a car and an SUV in North Las Vegas has been identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
North Las Vegas resident Mark Randall Boynton, 56, died of multiple injuries sustained in the accident, the officials said.
Boynton was one of three people killed after a blue Mazda 6 on the 215 Beltway west of North 5th Street spun across the center median and crashed head-on into a gold Cadillac Escalade, according to a statement from Nevada Highway Patrol.
The Cadillac rotated and caught fire, the statement said.
An investigation indicated the driver of the Mazda failed to maintain his travel lane, running off the right shoulder before overcorrecting and traveling across the median.
It is unclear in which vehicle Boynton was riding.
The men driving both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene, as was a male passenger in the Cadillac, the statement said.
