The 19-year-old who died in a motorcycle accident in the eastern valley early Sunday was Las Vegas resident Edgar Perez-Velazquez, the Clark County Coroner's Office announced today.
Perez-Velazquez was the passenger on a 1997 Honda CBR motorcycle driving on Montello Avenue, west of Arlington Street, when the vehicle failed to stay in its travel lane during a left turn, Metro Police said.
The driver, Yelstin Cardona, struck a curb and hit a 2003 Toyota Tacoma parked on a driveway at around 5:44 a.m., according to police.
Cardona was transported to University Medical Center Trauma Center and is in critical condition.
